Some of you may have tried to access my site and found it unavailable during March 17, 2010. It appears that my web hosting provider suffered a nasty distributed denial of service attack. That’s nerd talk for bad people were overloading the servers in a way that is against the law.

Back up through adversity

Thankfully I am back up now and hopefully all the issues are resolved. I appreciate the patience of anyone who was unable to access my site in the mean time. Hopefully all will be well for a while now (crossing fingers).

  1. Wow, that’s nuts. What hosting service do you use, and do u think someone did that on purpose?

I use Bluehost and I do think it was an on purpose attack. From what I’ve read about Denial of Service attacks, they are serious offenses and against the law. At least in the UK they were deemed as such.

  2. That’s crazy! but I’m glad you’re back up and running!!
