Are you married with kids? Are you single with kids? Do you work a job where you come home tired? Are you ever tired? Do you find it hard to get going on projects you want to do? If any of these apply to you, I’m going to show you how to kick yourself in gear in minutes!

You’re kids (if you have them) will get a kick out of the video too!

The above video is there to help get you energized. When you have finished reading what to do here, click it (make sure your volume is WAY up), and then do the things I am about to tell you. Got another video that gets you going? I’d like to hear about it for sure!

Say, “Ok, I’m going to take 5 minutes and get in gear!”

That’s right, just say this phrase to yourself a few times. You are getting in gear. You are excited. You are ready to accomplish great things. You are a leader, someone who makes a difference. You are ready to take action.

Visualize one awesome task you will accomplish

That’s right, just one thing you are going to do. Keep it simple. What is one thing you can focus on right now that you need to do? You just need to focus on it. You will focus on this throughout the entire play length of the video. Do not deviate from it. It is yours and you will do it. What will you visualize?

Start clapping your hands

What, start clapping my hands? You bet – get yourself moving and start clapping your hands. Pretend you are about to run an extremely important race against other runners. Pretend Brad Pitt has his shirt off (if you’re a girl) or if you’re a guy, pretend that you’re about to meet Hillary Clinton (ok that’s random – find someone exciting and pick them). Clap your hands more. You are about to do something amazing.

Play the above video

Get ready to play the video above. Before you do, when the video starts, get ready to dance like it’s 1985 or 1995, I guess I am getting older now, so let’s bump it up 10 years. You don’t have to know how to dance – you will just jump up and down, clap your hands, and scream. You must move and enjoy it! Don’t say, “This is dumb, I don’t wanna.” No! Enjoy it :) You will enjoy yourself through the whole video. Now play the video! When you are done, you should be breathing hard and ready to go to town.

How did this feel? Does it feel good to move around and at the same time visualize what you are going to accomplish? I promise if you do this daily, you will have no trouble being consistent in the goals you are trying to achieve. Let me hear how your dancing went.

Update – a few more videos for you to try

  1. This actually did pep me up a bit… listening to the video like three times in a row.

How’d you end up choosing your logo and theme?

Hi Ryan – glad the video helped you – before my surgery, I would listen to several party-like songs in the mornings for about 15 minutes to help boost me to a higher state. Can’t wait to do it again :)

The theme and logo for the site are the result of a host of iterations that I’ve been going through – I really like wizards and magic, ever since I was four. It clicked when I realized I could incorporate that into how I share everything to help people have better lives. I could just share the info, but like you said, making it memorable (in my case, the wizard) leaves an impression.

My wife is a graphic designer, so she helped get the banner and logo setup just right. She’s been a great help.

I’m sure I will still be iterating more things on the website, but I’m very happy with how it’s coming along. Still have a lot to learn :)
