Humility is something I’m thinking about tonight. Life has an interesting way of creating experiences that compel me to be humble as I have no control over the situation. Case in point today, I attend the funeral of a friend of mine at work, Frank Briscoe. I had no control over his pancreas cancer. I had no control over whether he would live or die. Hearing his family talk about him and the man he was, as well as all the memories they had of him – it was touching…
There’s much I can’t control, I realize, except how I show up each and every day and how I respond to each event that occurs. And I can do that to the best of my ability and see just how things end up :).
