Poem – I Think Of You Too

This is day # 9 of my poem writing challenge. I’m inspired by a poem I read a little while ago and thought I would do my own version of it. It’s a poem about thinking about someone of course – who they are may be different for those of you reading this, but the message of it being someone you care about remains the same.

I think of you too!

Yes it’s true

Whether there is snow

Or there is dew

I think of you when I sleep

I think of you when I eat

I think of you when I type

I think of you when it’s light

Or when it’s dark

And I feel off the mark

I think of you still

And feel a soft chill

I think of you when I drive

And when the work ends at five

I think of you as I walk

And even as I stand and talk

I think of you while I run

Outside in the cold or in the sun

I think of you when I’m down

And even when I have a frown

I think of you when I’m happy

And when my arms are feeling flappy

I think of you when there is a storm

And when the clouds begin to form

I think of you in the light

And when I feel you out of sight

I think of you in times of laughter

And even when the moon comes after

And still today as I think

And try to understand the link

I think of you each and every day

And long for what was yesterday
