In all human interaction, say what you mean and then do what you say. It creates a sense of certainty with who you are and others can expect that you will deliver and act on what you say. It makes you a valuable human. To do this, you must be sure and secure with yourself. I’ve learned through experience the power of this, by doing the opposite and making the mistake of not being sure of myself.
The even more powerful way to be impeccable with your word is to keep your word with yourself. Are there habits in your life that aren’t serving you? Are there people in your life that aren’t taking you where you want to go? It’s the time unseen with yourself that really creates the magic in your life. Each action is your brain absorbing an experience, knowledge, whatever it may be.
If you have grand dreams, aspirations, or just want to get out of a rut, there’s some things you’ll need to do with yourself when nobody is looking. You’ll need to make some promises to yourself. And you’ll need to keep these, even when you don’t want to. By keeping these, you begin to shift into a new presence – your brain begins to process the new and your body begins to change. I know, I’ve experienced this in a major way over the last year.
Keep your word – for yourself first and where you want to go in your life. Then keep it for the people around you so that they can drawn certainty and strength from you. Do this, and watch who you become in your life.
